If you're anything like us here at Capital Properties, you already knew that; we've had the 27th of August marked in our calendar since the beginning of the year, because you cannot beat a good burger! Whether you're a Cardiff local or a new student who's just arrived in the Welsh capital, you'll definitely want to know where to celebrate the occasion. Thankfully, you don't need to fret as we've got you covered, here are the best places to go for an exceptional burger.
A great eatery with an inspiring story, this locally-owned restaurant has made burgers their speciality. The beef patties are made with fresh, succulent meat are topped with a variety of sauces and sides. If you want something a little different, we suggest you head to Got Beef!
Our favourite: the Soprano (juicy bacon, chorizo sausage, melted Monterey Jack cheese and jalapeno mayonnaise).

The Bagel & Burger Kitchen
If you want a gourmet burger, you’ll certainly get it at the Bagel & Burger Kitchen; all of their beef patties are made with 100% fresh, high-quality beef. This company pride themselves on using only the finest ingredients, and what’s more, all of their food is made fresh to order.
Our favourite: Krispy Kreme Burger (a beef patty that’s topped with cheese and homemade relish, served between a glazed Krispy Kreme donut).

The Grazing Shed
The Grazing Shed is an excellent eatery that’s perfect for all the environmentally-conscious people out there. All of their food is fresh, locally sourced, and packed full of nutritional benefits. What’s more, every burger they make supports the local agricultural industry! What could be better than that? If you like your burgers, you’ll love the Grazing Shed’s varied menu.
Our favourite: Hell Fire Hippy (a vegetable patty, spicy Caribbean sauce, avocado mash, rocket, lettuce and sour cream with a hint of jalapeno).

The North Star
Nothing beats going to a restaurant and knowing that the food is cooked fresh, and that’s exactly what the North Star offers: fresh food served to order. No microwaves, no frozen food, just fresh, homemade 10oz burgers, served in a bun with lettuce and tomato, accompanied by chunky chips.

The Smoke Haus prides itself on offering its customers a taste that is unmatched anywhere in Cardiff, so if you’re looking for something different, why not give it a try? We love it!
Our favourite: Southern Comfort (a juicy beef burger, topped with a whole battered chicken breast, crispy bacon, fried onion and garlic mayonnaise, all in a brioche bun).

Urban Tap House
Urban Tap House may be better known for their beers than they are their burgers, but they sure know how to make a good one! All of their scrumptious burgers come with skin-on fries and fresh coleslaw. You will be spoilt for choice at the Urban Tap House with their ever-changing menu.
Our favourite: The Saag (curried spinach and potato patty topped with mint crème fraiche).

Burger and Lobster
What you see is what you get at Burger and Lobster. There’s not much variety at this eatery, you can either have a burger or a lobster, but the burger available (yes, that’s burger singular) is absolutely delicious! One bite and you’ll be coming back for more. The burger is made up of a tasty beef patty, topped with melted cheese, bacon and lettuce. It’s simple but wonderful.
